Why Local First?
In order to make Milwaukee a more sustainable community, our goal is to build market share for locally-owned, independent businesses by increasing awareness about the personal and community benefits of choosing local. Remember, for every $1 you spend at a locally owned business, more than 68¢, versus 43¢ spent at a national chain, remains in Milwaukee. You know, the type who doesn't settle for the same-old, same-old when there's a better way to do something. Like cleaning cars. Who wants to line-up for 30 minutes only to drive off in a wet vehicle that's still half dirty? Mike doesn't. So he came up with a better way. |
