Why Local First?
In order to make Milwaukee a more sustainable community, our goal is to build market share for locally-owned, independent businesses by increasing awareness about the personal and community benefits of choosing local. Remember, for every $1 you spend at a locally owned business, more than 68¢, versus 43¢ spent at a national chain, remains in Milwaukee. Featured MemberWMSE Radio (91.7) 91.7 WMSE-FM is a non-profit, listener-supported radio service educationally licensed to the Milwaukee School of Engineering. WMSE's on-air staff is made up of dedicated community volunteers who specialize in the genre that is featured on their respective programs. WMSE broadcasts from the downtown campus of the Milwaukee School of Engineering in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
